We are now hiring for the market season! This includes working inside of a commercial kitchen space and/or running a farmer’s market booth. If you are a people person, a great cook, and have experience working in a professional kitchen setting, this could be a job match for you!
JOB OPENING 1: COMMERCIAL KITCHEN – COOK
Every week, Radical Rabbit makes grab and go meals for several marketplaces and customers in Nashville. We are looking for someone to help us meet this demand by preparing vegan soul food with us in the kitchen! We use exciting ingredients and have fun trying new food ideas so a passion for cooking is a must!
The cook position is responsible for following recipes or spoken recipe directions, frying food, cleaning during cooking and after, taking out the trash, and assisting other cooks in food tasks.
JOB OPENING 2: FARMER’S MARKET – CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Nashville Farmer’s Markets are an exciting place to work! Meet new people and connect with the Nashville community while selling delicious vegan soul food.
Farmer’s Market Reps are responsible for picking up farmer’s market equipment before the market, setting up the booth, working the market selling our food, breaking down the set up at market end, and returning equipment to the East Nashville commercial kitchen location. During the market, customer service reps must be a warm and welcoming face of Radical Rabbit, serve customers “grab and go” food, handle payments, carry on a conversation with amazing customers, and take receipt and inventory. Market Reps should also have knowledge of Radical Rabbit foods in order to provide information to customers and sell the product. Market Reps have a lot of fun at markets and we ask that you provide customers with an amazing experience!
Schedule varies on interest and market availability. Typical schedules:
Cook: Monday and Thursdays 9:30am-3pm (cook) , Wednesday and Fridays 9am-12pm (fry cook) and Farmer’s Market: Tuesdays 3pm-6pm(**2pm-7pm) and Thursday 4:30pm-7pm(**3:30pm-8pm). Set up time not included, you would arrive one hour before and set down/load up/load out one hour after. Employees utilize clock in and clock out for more accurate time clocks.
COMPENSATION: Based on experience.
